This series of works is an exploration of the shapes of land, beach and sea in coastal areas of the south west.
The artist has collected objects mainly from the seashore, and these are used to compose the work. In order to preserve the unity and flow of the piece, it is made almost entirely of found materials, used together as ungrouted mosaic, or forming part of a collaged and painted surface.
The details of natural stone and the colours found in them are reflected in reused manufactured objects and by combination with painted collage.
